It started off as some sort of supergroup with a Neville (Cyril) and an Allman (Greg's son, Devon) along with guitarist/singer Mike Zito, drummer Yonrico Scott and bassist Charlie Wooten. The group made a splash playing its first show at New Orleans' famed Rock ’n Bowl and winning blues awards with its self-titled first album. Allman and Zito have since left the band and some of the "supergroup" luster has worn off, but the music, with Bart Walker and Tyrone Vaughan (son of Jimmie) taking over guitar duties and Walker picking up some of the vocals, has maybe gotten even better. This is Cyril's show now and he puts on a good one, on stage and in the recording studio.

DON"T LOOK BACK: THE MUSCLE SHOALS SESSIONS (2015): Ruf Records recording group, Royal Southern Brotherhood (RSB) prepping for the much anticipated release of their third studio album, “Don’t Look Back: The Muscle Shoals Sessions” on May 26. The album was recorded at the legendary FAME Studio in Muscle Shoals and produced by Grammy award winning producer, Tom Hambridge, along with some new talent has created RSB’s best studio effort to date. The magic of FAME Studio was not lost on band leader, Cyril Neville. The longtime musical icon almost sounded like a star struck upstart when speaking of the experience, stating, “I stood in the same place (vocal booth) as Wilson Pickett!”
