Jackie Greene has been a member of a couple of good bands, The Black Crowes and the so far short-lived Trigger Hippy. Both have produced some excellent music and I have hop that one day Trigger Hippy has a second album, but Jackie has also made a name for himself as a solo artist. His latest, Back To Birth is very good. Greene has said he wanted to produce a album that warranted multiple listens to really appreciate. He's succeeded. It's a little Country, a little Pop and a whole lot of well-crafted songs.

Jackie Greene is an American singer-songwriter and musician. He has a solo career and was a member of the final lineup of the Black Crowes, who disbanded in January 2015. Greene was born Chris Nelson in Salinas, California, and developed an interest in music at an early age, starting with the piano. At 14, he began to play guitar and within a short time, was able to sit in with local bar bands. As he got older, he began composing his own songs. He recorded in a makeshift garage studio, burning his own CDs and selling them everywhere he could. Using the money he saved, Greene was eventually able to record and release his first full-length album, Rusty Nails, on his own. (more)
