Travellin’ Brothers

NewMusicForOldFolks says …

So this one's a little different. Hailing from the Bilbao in the Spanish Basque Country, Travellin’ Brothers are not exactly a fixture on the American Blues scene. But they undoubtedly play an infectious brand of Jumpin’ Blues/Soul that would easily fit in here. The band may be from Spain, but it's music certainly is American in origin. The singing is all in English. Another interesting thing about the band is that there are multiple versions of the lineup. According to the website, there's the core six piece band pictured above, two different eight-person lineups and a "Big Band" with 16 players. If you get to Europe any time soon check out the band's tour schedule. Whichever version you see, it'll be entertaining.

2018 is a year marked by fire in the calendar of the band, a year in which many important milestones converge, some numbers available to very few and that certify, even more, one of the most respected and admired trajectories of the old continent in the last years. Fifteen years, 8 albums and 1000 concerts are some of the figures that will be reached in the course of this year. (more)
