Delgado Brothers
NewMusicForOldFolks says …
A little more than a year ago, I attended the Big Blues Bender in Las Vegas and saw the Delgado Brothers perform. Before I got there, the band was one of the few on the schedule about which I had not heard. I left Las Vegas thinking that their's was one of the best sets of the weekend. And when when he participated in the final night jam session Joey Delgado may have been the best guitar player on the stage. The brothers have been making a living playing music for more than three decades, but their recording career has not been as prolific as you would think from a band of their obvious musical chops. A new album was promised in Vegas, and I decided to wait for its release before doing a profile on the band. After checking consistently for a few months, I thought something must have fallen through. I'd almost forgotten about the band before stumbling across the new album, Two Trains, this month. It was worth the wait. And if you get a chance to see the band live, that's worth it as well.
